"The challenges of rapid change and a global economy require new business skills and knowledge. To succeed in an increasingly competitive world, managers are seeing the need for lifelong learning --- both for themselves and for their employees. Yesterday's knowledge will no longer meet the test of today's problems. Our job is to provide the learning opportunities necessary to those tests --- today and tomorrow."

John Ebersole, M.B.A., M.P.A., is the department chair for Business & Management courses. He is the former Dean of the School of Management at John F. Kennedy University and is an active member of the East Bay business community.

"Where do we look for opportunity in a changing economic climate? People can prepare for change by taking career-related courses that keep them current in skills and knowledge. A prepared work force is valuable because individuals who take charge of their lives can foster economic growth and benefit not only themselves but also the world young people inhabit."

---John Ebersole, M.B.A., M.P.A.
